Q: What is Ownice T-Box?
Ownice T-Box, is designed for Tesla 3 Tesla Y (Original Screen's Processor is AMD Ryzen) to Link iPhone or Android Phone to use Wireless CarPlay & AirPlay or Wireless Android Auto on Tesla's Web Browser.
Q: Does T-Box work on all Tesla Car Models?
Not for all, based on the below two conditions:
– In Countries/Area Which are allowed to use Web Browser in drive (Australia/HongKong… not allowed)
– Recommend for Tesla Model 3/Y that the Original Player's Infotainment Processor is AMD Ryzen

Q: How does Ownice T-Box work?
Different from other box, you can think of T-Box's Working Principle as the Wireless LAN Technology, it sets a LAN between your Phone & Tesla without internet access (SIM Card not Required).
Here briefly describe its working steps as follows:
1. Open the Phone Bluetooth List and Pair with T-Box, after that T-Box open it's WiFi Hotspot [TSL-xxxx] to connect with your phone when you confirm [allow to use CarPlay or Android Auto] on phone.
2.Open the Tesla WiFi List and Connect with T-Box, then you set the Wireless LAN between your Phone & Tesla.
3. For sound come out from car speaker you need finish the final step: Open the Tesla Bluetooth List & Pair with your phone.

Q: How to get internet acess when use T-Box?
When connect Tesla with T-Box, Your Tesla's 4G LTE Network is cut off. But T-Box has two WiFi module, one for setting LAN for Data Transmission, and another for connecting with other hotspot device to get internet access when in Car.
When getting off the car, you should bring the connect phone out of the WiFi Bluetooth reception distance (over 100 meters), then T-Box automatically disconnected with your phone, after that T-Box close it's WiFi hotspot to disconnet with your Tesla automatically, then Tesla back to its 4G LTE Network. If cannot disconnect automatically, then you can manually turn off the WiFi on Tesla or turn off the WiFi & Bluetooth on Phone.

Q: Which Phone does T-Box work for?
– For iPhone: iPhone 6 & above, IOS 10 & above
– For Android Phone: Android OS 11.0 & above
Q: Can watch video when driving?
Link iPhone can use the "Mirroring-AirPlay" function to watch video even in driving, but we do not recommend, please comply with the traffic safety regulations!!!
Q: Network Problem
You can think of T-Box Working Principle as the Wireless LAN Technology, your Tesla will be off-line after it is connected with T-Box via WiFi. However, T-box has two WiFi module, one for wireless transmission and the other for internet access. You can enter setting page to input your mobile hotspot name & password to connect internet.
Q: Sound Problem
Using CarPlay & Android Auto, the sound is transmitted via bluetooth from mobile to Tesla, no delay; when using screen mirrioring, both the sound and image are transmitted via WiFi, sound may have a little delay.
Note: When back to CarPlay from other audio/video apps in Tesla, need click the Bluetooth icon on Tesla to switch the audio channel back to [Bluetooth], otherwise there will be no sound come out.
Q: Laggy Problem
Using the data stream transmission method, and base on Linux system, the box has good stability and fast response. However, the fluency of use will still be affected by the performance/memory/version of your Tesla & mobile phone. For example, the box works well on Tesla with AMD Chipset, but have laggy problem on Tesla with ATOM chipset.
Q: How to get automatically connected after the first connection?
Automatical connection should meet the conditions: Stay on the browser page when getting off; Mobile Phone Bluetooth & WiFi is always ON; Tesla’s WiFi is always ON, then it will be automatically connected in 1 minute, do not put gear to R or D before connection completed.
Q: How to disconnect and let the car back to it's 4G Network to use APP Control after getting off?
As long as you take your mobile out of the signal receiving distance (150 meters) when getting off the car, the box disconnect with your phone, then it will turn off it’s WiFi to disconnect with Tesla. But if your phone is still in the signal distance or your car is on charging when getting off, please manually turn off the Tesla’s WiFi or turn off the Phone Bluetooth & WiFi to disconnect the box, then Tesla back to it’s 4G Network to ensure the use of APP Control.
Q: How to do OTA Upgrade?
After your phone is connected with T-Box (the 1st connection step), iphone open Safari, android phone open Browser on Tesla (T-Box needs connect your android phone's hotspot to access internet), then input [3.3.3.3], click [Check for Update], the update starts if find new version. Do not power off during system upgrading. When finished, go to [setting] page, refresh & check the file version no.
